Hi, My name is Matt Heigl.
I am the Founder and Lead Carpenter at Sawdust Farms Woodworking. My love for creating things out of wood began during my 10 years in 4-H. As a homeschool kid (before homeschool was cool), I was able to spend time at home growing that love into a true passion. Working with my hands and being able to create anything from the ordinary to the extraordinary is very fulfilling for me. At the beginning of my carpentry career, I began taking on larger projects, everything from floor to ceiling book shelves, to an entire kitchen remodel. I even made a few Cedar Hope Chests for a Grandpa to give his Granddaughters.
More recently, I found I enjoy making the classic wooden toys featured in my online shop. I enjoy not only making these products but knowing that kids will have safe durable items that will last for generations.
